PR2 ended on Monday afternoon and was only able to speak to our dearest supervisor earlier this morning. I think he knew that we were anxious and feeling a little demoralized about the presentation without knowing the reason why. When he came in, he first asked "Hi Janice, so how was the presentation? What did the judges asked?" and so, our conversation started.
I told him what the judges commented, suggested and questioned exactly. From there, he helped us narrowed down and cleared our worry and doubts one by one. It gave me a better view and at least I am not so worried anymore.
At first, I neglected all the "good" comments made by the judges till supervisor told us it's good when people at the senior lecturer level will comment "This is not easy to make". This shows that they had already done it before and they might have failed yet we succeeded in doing it. It was something we should be proud of. The other point he brought out is that at least they did not say things like "So, the whole MP/SIP you only done this? Nothing else?". If that was the comment, it will be time for us to do some reflection.
After clearing all the doubts in us, he added "Good job, enjoy your holidays". Wow, this sentence definitely made my day! After being down right after the presentation till now, this is definitely something I am looking forward to.
Yes, being a chatty him, we started to chat about where will we be going this holiday and he started his experiences again. A fruitful 1 hour chat with him. A guy to respect and look up to. Till then.
Xoxo,
Janice
